Main module (MP2S-CAN) - reads inputs data from car CAN-Bus (instead "from lamps"). Module operates in "passive mode" - this mean only reading of data from CAN-Bus. In this case MP2S-CAN is "invisible" for car's computer/systems. More - this mean also: isn't required "any" coding of the car. It supports trailers fitted with both filament and LED bulbs, as well as mixed configurations. Detection and indication of faults in the trailer’s indicator bulbs are also as standard.

The key feature of this set is the use of the factory connector in the car. Thanks to a specially designed, dedicated cable harness, installation is very efficient – and (in this case) does not require a separate connection to the car battery.

Kits of MP2S-CAN-G8 have the 13-pins trailer socket but its supports only lighting circuits (trailers or bicycle racks) - this is "fisrt" 8 pinst (for this reason name is G8).

An additional option is possibility to upgrade this G8 kit (now or later) to the operation of all 13 pins in the trailer socket (G13) using the G13-RELAY-EXT-KIT-500PWR-180OUT.
